Olympus Visa to MasterCard

I previously held Citi Prestige, and now converted to Axis Olympus.
Anybody had any luck converting their Visa to MC or vice versa with Axis?
I had called Axis helpline but was flatly told, it isn't allowed.

they will convert but give them time for 2 months to settle this migration
