Hello friends,

It has been reported that the details of "One Card", BOB and several other banks users, including their Video Know Your Customer (VKYC) information, have been leaked. The breach has been acknowledged by Signzy, the platform responsible for managing these details.

Alarmingly, the leaked data is already being circulated and sold online, posing a significant risk to affected individuals. Such breaches compromise personal and financial security, highlighting the critical need for vigilance and immediate protective measures.

Ye Sirf OneCard BOB users ka data leak hua hai or core BOB Card holders ka bhi?

Any expert here who understands what this leak means for one card holders and what do we need to do on our end to avoid getting scammed or losing anything monetarily?

There's nothing you can do. It's kyc data alone, not the credit card data so the max you could expect is some scammer calling you, highlighting the credit card variant you have to sound less scammy

😲 Did nobody actually read the article here?!?!?

The comments are bashing the banks and whatnot but the breach happened on Signzy, a third party ID verification fintech company. In this case, the onus of data security is on Signzy only.

In legal terms it can be described as fiduciary duty/security.

The article and the screenshot suggests other financial institutions like SBI, ICICI and Kotak etc and not only BoB or OneCard.

In US and Europe these companies whose data have been exposed could sue the company for the breach. Just like how Delta sued CrowdStrike few months ago.

Data/privacy breach is no joke.
RBI and MeitY both shall take stern actions to stop this.
