Given the fact that I don't have a job at the moment, and will not have one at least till next summer, which of the following two routes do you think would be better for me to get an HDFC card:
1. Open a 10k MAB savings account
2. Wait for my existing card, which is currently still in its 1st month, to age 6 months and then apply through a c2c agent.
Considerations to keep in mind as you formulate your suggestions for me:
1. Open a 10k MAB savings account
2. Wait for my existing card, which is currently still in its 1st month, to age 6 months and then apply through a c2c agent.
Considerations to keep in mind as you formulate your suggestions for me:
- Problems with the first route:
- I could get pre-approved offers after some months, but since I get only b/w 25-30k for monthly expenses, I don't think I would get a good limit. After that also, there's no guarantee that I will get the card because I don't think banks employ the term "pre-approved" in its true sense.
- Less spending freedom to maintain Minimum Average Balance. Currently I have only zero balance accounts. I will be able to maintain MAB but I will have to cut down on my expenses, which could compromise further my already compromised quality of living. 🤣🤣🤣
- Problem with the second route: From what I've gathered from different places on the internet, applying through an agent through c2c method has a high success rate. However, since I'm unemployed, I won't be able to provide employment details and income proof like ITR or pay slip if the agent asks for them.
