Paying online Visa CC transaction through GPay or Samsung Pay (thru tokenized card)

Hello friends,

Can we use tokenized cards stored in GPay/Samsung Pay online without storing or revealing the original credit card details. Is it possible?

I know we can pay any merchant POS through Smart QR or Tap and Pay using a credit card through GPay or Samsung Pay. For online merchants who accept credit cards, is there a way to pay using stored Visa credit cards in GPay?

I know about Rupay UPI CC, this ask is about Visa cards and not thru UPI network. Anyone succeeded in this?

1. Original card details are required only to register but not stored by gpay or samsung pay

I get that.., but I was thinking why can't GPay implement a feature similar to how we used stored cards (in tokenized format) in any online site for example Amazon/Flipkart. Here GPay is storing the tokenized card in our mobile, and sharing the virtual card information to the merchant site.. I felt technically it should be feasible to implement?

...the flow would be similar to how we use UPI/Rupay to pay online - here instead of UPI/Rupay, it would be virtual card which will be charged and notification sent back to the merchant site.

As I understand, for online payment card details are saved as per RBI guidelines and in NFC, card is tokenized but no details are saved...so both are different technologies and mechanism...

Upi is different from above two technologies....RBI is intentionally not allowing visa or mastercard on upi platform just to promote rupay credit card...
