Paying SBI CC bill with DCB on HDFC Billpay

Hi folks,

I was emptying my bank account by paying cc bills and got this option in HDFC bill pay. I can see Savings and Debit card only for all other cards. But for SBI it shows DCB as third option. Has anyone tried this? Any downsides?

Even if you try the transaction will fail. They have enabled it for BBPS billers and since SBI has recently moved to BBPS, you are seeing it. You can try and verify it yourself.

Woah nice to know, it fails for me every time if I chose credit card option, I use web based billpay. I hope you have enough time to pay back the bill incase the transaction is reversed, else it is not the risk worth taking.

I recently got regalia gold cc and while trying to pay sbi credit card bill using bill pay iam seeing option of hdfc regalia gold cc …but for other cards (axis,amex) this cc option is not coming up . Will there be any issue if i pay sbi cc bill using hdfc cc ?
