Payment to tata neu cc using Paytm failed. how to resolve?

i tried to pay my tata neu rupay cc bill using Paytm. the transaction failed after a few hours. paytm says that they have initiated the refund, and I should contact the bank to get my money back. no further help provided by Paytm.

in general, how much time does it take to reflect back to the source? for me already 2 days have passed.

and how to raise this issue with HDFC (I have both savings account and cc in HDFC)? i just have the orderid from Paytm app.
