People with different names on Aadhaar and pan card how do you able to open online account in banks?

My name in Aadhaar is August A and pan card display name also August A. Few days ago I tried to create an online savings account in ICICI first I asked for Aadhaar and then it asked for pan after entering ICICI pull the full name from pan card (pan card doesn't allow single letter initials) ie, August Ames and compare with Aadhaar name and throws error name mismatch. Anyone know how to bypass this I can't change my aadhaar name to August Ames since my cbse,degree certificates marked as August A please help

Don’t know about online account opening if there is name mismatch.
But you can update PAN via NSDL portal through aadhar it will fetch name directly from aadhar submit application via aadhar esign and it will get approved in like 7 days.

Tried but pan won't accept single letter initial (only display name with single letter initial allowed)

I have tried this but it shows me an error and tells me to visit the Pan office.
