Petrol Pumps Avoiding BPCL Pinelabs Machines

Nowadays most of the BPCL pumps are keeping PhonePe machines instead of BPCL pine green labs machines. There is no way to redeem points in these machines. Also it is not sure whether we’ll get the points if we swipe our BPCL cards in these machines. This has happened with me that I swiped my BPCL octane card in PhonePe machine and I did not get any reward points. When I contacted customer care for the same, they have a lame excuse saying that the machine is not added to their database. When I told them this is not my problem and you can confirm that the pump was in fact a BPCL pump, they still denied me any points.
Pump managers also give BS reason for not keeping the machines like “we have applied for it but not received or it has gone for repair”
And in all this, the one who suffers is the customer

Fuel surcharge waiver is for HP pumps only?

MRCC 1.56L spends in a year (12x4x1500, 6x14000) will fetch you 5% rewards. Even if 1% surcharge we deduct its 4% on fuel purchase. It will be even more if you redeem those MR points in hotel or transfer partners instead of assumed amzn voucher.

AMEX is all about achieving milestones with excluded category spends which generally not available with other cards. So, as long as it accepts do not worry about surcharge, you'll get more.

When there is no credit card offer and I want to purchase something, I usually use card with high reward rate. But by doing this I often missed the opportunity to get more reward rate with Quarterly/Annual milestone benefits with other cards.

It's like I use card with 3.3% reward rate compared to 1.2% because I get instant high reward rate but if I waited and when crossed certain spends on that low 1.2%, it can give me 6.2%.

In this post, I try to gather or know about certain cards which provides better reward rate with Quarterly/Annual milestone benefits.

Once thing you can try is take the bill from pump either the digital printed one from machine or manual with amount and time with their stamp and send this SBI customer care for rewards points
