I got a call from icici sales team for credit card application they did cibil enquiry without my consent and any AST YES message. Escalated to icici pno and they straight away denied to suppress enquiry and closed the complaint.
Further escalated to rbi with call recordings and post investigation from bank enquiry got suppressed also with 5k compensation.

for the first time ever I’m receiving compensation from a bank , it is not the first time I’m reporting any errors to RBI ombudsman, i have reported multiple and most of the time the concerned thing was resolved, in this complaint IDFC first bank held IPO funds blocked more than the required time and I mailed them after approx 2 months that my amount is still blocked and I also told I need compensation as per RBI guidelines they first agreed and after that when it got escalated for re-confirming they denied giving the compensation as they stated that it was the mistake of sponsor bank and I kept replying to their mails back and forth after that I registered the complaint for compensation of ₹5500 but they have credited my account with ₹6600. I’m very happy my first win against a bank .
