Point reversal on Card closure

I have a Magnus and a samsung card from Axis bank. I have earned edge points from both of these cards. Today I called them to close my samsung card. The customer care said that if I close this card, the points earned on this card will be reversed. Is this true? How do I even redeem the points earned on a particular card because all of the points are goining into a single pool? I asked them this question but they didn't have any answer.

I don't think it's a good idea to close Samsung In finite card.
But if you insist on closing it, I don't think any points will get reversed if you have already paid the joining fee.

However customer care says that ONLY the points contributed by this card into your pool will get reversed automatically, but I doubt it.

These are all retention tactics which are unethical and unfair but are baseless and shouldn't affect your points in any way.
Any points once earned rightfully cannot be taken back and if they're, you can legally file a complaint against the bank!

Axis truly is one of the most unethical people in this business
