Porting to airtel have few queries

1) If we get sim from airtel store do they make FRC for free.
2) If we r gng through agent should we do FRC from agent
3) Can I recharge 489 plan with 77 days validity as FRC
can some pls let me know

UPDATE: I ported it, Raised request through Airtel Thanks app agent came to my home and did 1 month recharge he did not ask any money.

It’s not mandatory to buy FRC from the Airtel store or agent. But in my opinion it’s better to get it from the store, because if there is any problem in SIM and plan activation you will know whom to chase. I had ported last year and got it from the agent. He visited my home to deliver the sim and did all the necessary work.

I ported last week via sim delivery method
No FRC needed. I talked with agent and airtel customer care as well. After sim activation you have to do a FRC by yourself.
