Postpaid SIM card: Hard CIBIL enquiries?

I learned yesterday that SIM providers check the credit score before issuing a postpaid connection. They may deny the service due to bad score and waive off security deposits for customers with good credit scores.

I want to know how these companies pull the credit score/report and do they report anything to credit agency.

I searched on the internet but most results were for ola paylater service called "Ola Money Postpaid". Nothing for actual postpaid Sim cards.

I have Rs. 798 Airtel Postpaid connection (2 connections- Me & My Mother), taken in Sep 2020, no CIBIL hit that time, have CL of 10k..
Having 101 rs infinity plan.. 60 gb data per month with unused data carry forward… ul calls… whole family using… 5 reg number on me… 6th taken on 10 days ago… no cibil hit… credit limit 4k

I am also looking to convert my family's Jio prepaid to postpaid.
My concern is that no option to stop using data once the plan data limit is over and to block international calls.
My family might exhaust the monthly data limit and continue using data without knowing
Also when we receive or make any international calls by accident, I will get charged a hefty amount.
Other than this, Jio's postpaid plan looks like a great fit for me.
Can anyone explain the methods if any to avoid these issues ?
