Namaskar,

Today I woke up to calls from StanChart that I have pre-approved card offers, so I went to login to the mobile app to check I have two card offers:

  1. Smart Credit Card (Joining fee nil, annual fee 499+tax)
  2. Easemytrip Credit Card (joining and annual fee: 350)
This is the first time I am receiving pre-approved card offers from them since account opening.

Please give me your valuable opinion based on your personal experience which of the two should I go for, or should I wait.

Also, I am hoping no CIBIL hard enquiry will happen as this is pre-approved, since I have two this month.

Thank you so much!

Go for SC Smart card. It is a relatively unappreciated gem of a card that gives flat 2% cashback on everything spent online (yes, no exceptions) up to spends of Rs.50000 per month. Looks very sleek too.

When you mentioned per month, it is billing cycle or calendar month? How the max cap for cashback is calculated?

Easemy rip card is specific to Easemytrip, but it offers good discount. However, EMT generally has another offer which is applicable for all SC cards, so smart card makes more sense.
