Hi all anyone using paid protonmail bundle like cloud storage, mail Id and vpn pls let me know how much it costs in inr.
Some of the card otp like axis sbi and idfc are being received in gmail currently so just a cautious move I prefer proton email
But free version is 500mb only

500mb is enough for OTP emails...other uses idk...

I'm using Protonmail for 1.5 years. Been going great. After doing some basic criterias you will get an upgrade from 500MB to 1GB for free.

Only get paid version if you need more drive storage(1GB is a lot and enough for email), connect VPN to many countries(US, JP, and ND are free and unlimited usage without compromising on speed), more than 3 filters for mail(you can just add all conditions under one filter), don't want proton's premade signature(which you can just delete easily in free version), or custom domain name. Google calendar is better than Proton's.

Some problems include, filters sometimes don't work. But it's a small use case, not needed frequently. You cannot keep a profile picture. 🙃

It costs in foreign currency, same for EUR, USD, and CHF. USD will be cheaper.

Better i try to upgrade my inbox to 1gb

There are some 4 basic things to do then get a free upgrade to 1GB.
To save space add those OTP titles or senders to the filter so that they go directly to trash and then trash gets removed automatically in 30 days.

I am using the free version of ProtonMail. It's been roughly 4 years since I started. I am yet to finish my 500 mb.

In the past I've used protonmail free version.
It was really good and until something horrible happened.
Since I was logged in the app for longtime and didn't use web, I forgot the pw eventually and had to do pw reset later. But guess what, if you do a pw reset they encrypt all your previous mails so that you can't access it anymore unless you can remember your previous pw. So basically I lost access to all my important mails because I forgot the pw, this is completely bogus system, no other email provider does this.
After this I promptly transferred all my important mailing activities elsewhere. It was a nightmare in the beginning.

To prevent the scenario of my gmail get hack then card otp can be stolen
That’s why thought of any alternative mail service

what if gmail suddenly blocks you?

just looking for a cautionary alternative. so much tied to gmail, and if anything happens it will be so much trouble.

every service provider is same, trying to reduce risk.
