Check if they activated insurance policy on your account and cancel it in lookout period. If even it's first year free I think it's unnecessary, unethical and you will probably forget to close it later as it can only be done offline.

This is absolutely dubious. You need to raise a RBI /IRDAI complaint for this one.
Also, I don't think this is related to Wealth or being downgraded. Without consent, they cannot issue such insurance policies.

Yeah I know this man but it's PM scheme so easier way is just to close it I guess.
