Hi all,
I have regalia gold (ltf) credit which is new. I'm looking to make a purchase of around 2k-2.2 usd in an American website (from india).
I want to purchase this from Regalia Gold credit card.
Forex = 2% + gst = 2.36%
Reward rate: 1.3%
Milestone benefit: 1500 or more vouchers
Edit: Global value advantage (1% if applicable, need to check)
Paying bill through Indusind DB: 0.9%

Considering everything, is it advisable to pay through RG cc or directly pay from DC with 0 forex?
Apart from 2.36% will I be charged anything like mastercard exchange?
Note that the card is new and I have multiple milestones listed

Not sure what each one corresponds to though
Also quarterly milestones end on Dec end.
------
My acquanitance in USA agreed to make the purchase for me and in return I would have to transfer to his INR account in India.
This is where Im stuck. NEFT/IMPS him and not get anything or do it myself??

Check global value program is supported for Regalia Gold? If so, it will give 1% cashback upto 1000 in calender month. So reward rate will be better.

do you have any better credit card
IDFC first select (almost same forex)
Rest cards dont have limits as they are old and they are not premium as well
(Axis airtel+myzone+neo, kotak league, amzn pay, One card)
But if u see the screenshot there are multiple milestones listed. Not sure what all they correspond to, but the value of them should be higher than normal quarterly spend right?

Yes thought of this as well: forgot to post.
Considering its applicable, doing this should should be better than my frnd purchasing himself and me transferring right?
I have never done GVP and seems like its offering 500 Bonus points for 1st transaction + 2000 Yatra/MMT voucher on 1.5l spend which I will be doing

It is individual preference. Either you and your friend transact in local currency in which no fee for banks and no reward for you. Or try this out so bank will get some fee and you will get some reward. But check whether international transaction is eligible for reward points else you will lose money.

How did you get Regalia gold as LTF?

No, what I meant is hope the MCC is generic purchase. I once swiped my DCB in Europe in souvenir shop but it ended up as rental transaction since merchant wrongly categorized as Apartment. No reward points for it 😪
I don't think anyone should be surprised, also did it happen in Eastern Europe?

Why not use Scapia cc (offers 0% forex), you'll save whole 2.36%..
