Purchasing Gold using Amex Plat charge

Hello Forum members,

I am thinking to purchase small quantity of gold (50k worth) and planning to pay via Amex card --

1) Can i swipe this at POS machine at jeweller (physical store) without any extra charges (Owner says amex is accepted and yes you can but we can not comment on bank charges)
2) Is there anything i need to be aware of while using Amex for that purchase -- any hidden charges from Jeweller side or Amex side that i should clarify before hand.

Any other purchase advise would be highly appreciated. I have to complete the 50k spend criteria as well so that will help me cover that.

There is no extra or hidden charges kind of thing … just swipe as much u want … MR points will be credited for the same .
