can anyone explain what's the purpose of balance change alert, limit change alert?

Also if I turn on the credit/debit above 5000 then I won't get the notifications for transactions below 5000?

On every transaction above the set limit you will be notified as per your preference (SMS/EMAIL) in this page. But I feel it's sometimes useful and sometimes it's painful to see bulk of emails in my inbox filled with HDFC insta Alters.

I have my salary account with HDFC so it's free and anything above Savings Max Account it's free.
