Query Regarding Charges for Add on CC when Upgrading to a different variant

Hi, I have decided to upgrade my Kotak 811 CC to Kotak Zen FYF. However, when I asked to Customer Care about any charges for my existing add on Card while upgrading....they told me I will be charged Add on Card issuance fees i.e. Rs 299 plus GST again. Is this information correct?

As per the rule.If you are upgrading your existing card to new one then banks are supposed to send new add on cards along with the upgraded cards free of costs.

Its automated process.If they charged for Add on anyhow then escalate to nodal officer 🙄 for reversal.

First ask them about charges through mail for written confirmation.

About reversal, if they wrongly charged for the card then reversal is possible.
