Query regarding income tax payment

Suppose someone has to pay income tax of 7.5 lakhs... Via epay.... Do we have to pay 7.5 lakh in one transaction or can we do it in 2-3 transactions like... Some amount using netbanking and remaining amount using credit card....??

It can be split as taxes are usually paid with quartely dates and hence multiple times with different transactions.

I am talking about balance tax payment before itr filing not advance taxes

U can split tat in any number of payments and thru any payment modality as per your wish. But u should have paid all the amount before the processing of Yr ITR.

self assessment tax can be split into any parts before return filing.. have done it thru different banks for same PAN number.. they just want ur money

Yes - I did the pending amount recently by splitting them between 3 different cards for self assessment tax.

Tax can be paid in n # of installments, only it needs to be paid before time and before filling the return.
