Question about Video KYC

TF Buzz
Hey guys. I applied for the Airtel Axis Bank CC via the Airtel Thanks app and got approved. They require the original PAN card for video KYC, however, I realized that I had accidentally left it at home (the PAN card).

I was wondering if they accept e-PAN (please share your experiences) or something as the deadline for the video KYC is 48 hours. This is because I'm currently out of my hometown and will only be able to go back after February first week.

If that is not an option then please suggest an alternative. Currently, I am thinking of getting it printed on PVC in a cyber cafe or something.

You can ask for re-scheduling your vKYC. But, first go ahead with download the ePAN and get it printed on photopaper. Do not laminate it.
During the vKYC, say that your original is with your IncomeTax Auditor in your native place. And, you carry only the ePAN. If they accept, it's OK. If not, ask for re-scheduling to next month. Tell them that you are on official duty till mid-Feb. And, get the original from your place or if it can't be located - apply for a fresh one, get it to your place n re-courier to your current location by the fastest possible courier/channel.

Ask Bank if you can opt for Offline KYC at nearest Branch. Most likely as per my experience they will send an agent who will do your offline KYC will fill a few details and should be an easy process unlike few other banks like AU

Thanks for your answer. Should I get a colored photocopy or a black-and-white one?

Also please elaborate on the "official duty" thing. I do not understand. Do you mean that I should tell them that due to official work from my company, I am unable to go back to my hometown right now?

Colour only. On PHOTO paper (not ordinary/bond white paper).

Yes. You understood it right.

Oh now I understand photo paper. Thank you.

Please also tell me how to get it printed. Should I get the whole e-PAN document printed or just the part where it shows PAN cutout? And if just cutout then both sides on same page?

And what reason to give them for the income tax auditor having my original PAN card? That might sound like I avoided tax or something. No?

Sorry for asking too many questions. I am a recent college graduate and new to all this 😅

IT Auditor has to do a lot of jobs - right from logging into your IT Account, download Traces, AIS... and prepare suitable ITR after considering all other types of income n expenses .... So, you can say that you gave your PAN to him as you are out of town for a month or two - on office work.

Printing - entire thing. And, laminating only the bottom (card like) part.
