Earlier I read somewhere here that if we pay a minimum of rs 1k above points redemption in accor then it used to give points and status nights. I recieved the same when I redeemed in Fairmont mara i.e. I got both status points i.e. 6797 and status nights i.e. 5, though I paid some 18 usd through card and rest through ~120 k points. Since I was 203 status points short of reaching gold status on accor, as such I booked Novotel convention centre in Hyderabad and paid with points + paid around rs 1.5 k on top of it. However, I got the status night only and not any status points.

Anyone knows what's the logic behind this?

How many status nights did you get for the same stay?

yup dint get any points for my 6 day stay recently via points + cash

Atleast in March 2024, I booked 10 nights using points (including Free night stays) and got status nights and a status points. But status points were given only on the cash component I paid.

I booked 12 nights in March 2024 and prepaid using maximum Accor points possible at the lowest non refundable rate.
After checking out, I got only 12 status nights because I used maximum points possible

I used maximum points too and I booked at refundable rates.

No, it's because you booked the higher refundable rate.
I had booked the cheapest non-refundable rate.

But if you get status nights it's good enough.
I got 12 nights out of 30 required for Gold status.
Status nights or points are separately totalled for their respective targets

What do you think about Accor? Its not a A2B to have a branch in each district 😂
