Reduce Limit for Infinia Card to below 5 Lacs

Due to nature of profile, I have been asked by my potential employer to reduce the credit limit on my Personal HDFC Infinia Card to ₹5,00,000 as a part of their internal compliance requirement as it is going to be my client. This compliance requirement is based on advisory of SEBI and NYSE. I have already written to HDFC Credit Card Support and am currently awaiting their response.

a. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to retain the Infinia Card even after the limit reduction. Specifically, Best way to communicate with HDFC’s retention/relationship team for a favorable outcome.

b. In case the Infinia Card cannot be retained, I am looking for the best credit card options from other banks (excluding Axis, ICICI, and HDFC Infinia), ideally cards that can be taken based on existing Infinia C2C conversion eligibility and offer premium benefits.

May I ask what is your company profile? And above what position, this compliance is required? Just out of curiosity.
Whatever the profile & the company is, they should never enquiry in an employee credit cards usage & there loans, if they are digging that much, will they pay the loans if you have more than 5 lakhs of loans?

Depends if compliance is for industry, company has no control on it. They have to follow to do business. 😔
