Regarding adjustment of refund received after bill generation date towards total due amount HDFC & AXIS card

I have both AXIS and HDFC credit card. My bill generation date is 16th July and due date is 5th of August.
But I have received a refund after bill generation of some amount on 22nd July on both the HDFC and AXIS card as cancellation of online order done .
I want to know will the refund will be adjusted with the total due amount or not so that I pay only the balance amount before the due date or I need to pay the full billed amount irrespective of the refund.
Kindly clarify as it would be great help as I am confused whether to pay bill amount or only the balance amount.

Yes refund will be adjusted with the total due amount.

Yes, RBI's new credit card guidelines has a specific provision about this. Think @TechnoFino has also talked about this in his video.
