Hi

I am Planning to do a Holiday in Feb 2026 to Vietnam and planning to stay all 8 days in Accor Hotels. Should I consider buying Accor Explorer Membership??

Based on an 8-night stay, I would recommend taking the Accor Plus Explorer Membership. Here’s why, in simple terms:

Key Benefits for Your Trip

  • 2 × Stay Plus FREE Nights (Buy-1-Get-1):
Use these as two separate 2-night bookings (e.g., Nights 1–2 and Nights 3–4). In each 2-night block, the higher-priced night is free.
  • Red Hot Rooms – up to 50% off rooms:
When available, these can reduce your overall room cost significantly across the remaining nights.
  • Dining Savings – up to 30% off food:
Member dining discounts at participating Accor restaurants (useful across the whole trip).

How to Structure Your 8 Nights

  1. Book Nights 1–2 as a 2-night block (Stay Plus applied → 1 night free).
  2. Book Nights 3–4 as a 2-night block (Stay Plus applied → 1 night free).
  3. Book Nights 5–8 using best available rates / Red Hot Rooms if they appear.

When to Buy the Membership

  • It’s best to purchase in the first week of January: you’ll receive 30 Status Nights (Accor Gold) credited for the new membership year.
  • Add the nights you actually stay (your 8 nights would bring you to ~38 nights; if you do 10 nights, that would be ~40 nights).
  • If you buy in November or December, your status nights reset on 1 January, so you’d lose the timing advantage.
  • There also seems to be an offer running now; if you prefer to pay by cash/credit card, the Explorer tier is typically the better value for these benefits.
Stay Plus nights apply to the highest-value nights and watch for Red Hot Rooms on the remaining dates.

Kind regards,
Abid

Thank you so much

Was helpful

I meant after the vietnam trip in Feb, do you have more plans?

Membership is useful only if you stay atleast 10 days. Considering vietnam is already cheap, so i wont suggest taking it just for this country.

But you have concrete plans of more travel then take it upfront. You will save 15% on bookings, 30% on food and get gold tier. Benefit of gold is that you get early check / late check out and 1 level room upgrade.
I have about 35000 Accor Points

I plan to travel next in Feb and March

Remember one more thing for Stay Plus nights, they don't include breakfast!
I realized this after buying the membership, so unless you are already Gold and Accor+ nights make you platinum, you will have to pay breakfast out of pocket which defeats the purpose for me
