I'm holding HSBC Platinum Credit card - LTF.

Received this email yesterday:

Dear Customer,
Thank you for being a valued customer.
This is with reference to your HSBC Credit Card ending ABCD. As per the guidance from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI); banks are obligated to report the credit information for all customers to Credit Bureaus twice every month in the prescribed format.
We will be reporting your information under a 'Reportable Account Number' i.e. RAN.
The RAN allocated for your HSBC Credit Card is <RANNUmber>.
This RAN will be available in your credit information report as and when you access the same.

Yours sincerely,
HSBC Credit Cards division

Anyone else received it and what are its implication on CREDIT Score ?

Earlier they used to report card number as account number to CICs.

Now on they are going to link the card no to an account number which will only be reported to CICs.

This is to prevent disclosing the actual card numbers.
