Axis Reserve Reserve Transfer Deval Discussion

Hey everyone, I hold both Magnus and Reserve along with a Burgundy account at Axis and have recently confirmed through Customer Care that even though both the cards send points to the same Edge Rewards account... the transfer ratio will be 5:2 only for Reserve, while 5:4 for Magnus points.

Not sure how their system plans to implement this for now.

I'd like to ask anyone if they have found a way around yet for this.

Also don't you think changing Reserve's Transfer Ratio isn't justified? Like if we're paying up ~60k as annual fee, isn't the whole activation and renewal value of those 50k points just because of the good 5:4 ratio we have now? And even if someone has Burgundy Private, why would anyone opt for Reserve if they can anyway get the Axis The One card that comes complimentary with Burgundy Private !!

In that case, you should simply wait to see if they really segregate ER points earned on different cards. If they really do and you have not much interest in the lifestyle part of Reserve, you can simply cancel the card. Magnus’s 5:4 will give you nearly the same rewards as Reserve’s 2X on international spends at 5:3

Samsung infinite points I transferred at 5:2 recently. But if magnus burgundy shows different bucket reserve will not get 5:4 which is so absurd

As per CS, Burgundy Magnus point will be credited to its own category and other edge rewards will get credited to common pool.
Once we run out of Burgundy Magnus points, ER are transferred to Burgundy Magnus at some small % each time and once you use them up, another small % gets transferred. (how they calculate that % i am not sure)
So for me so far, all ER and Burgundy Magnus points are transferred to partners at 5:4 (for now)

I can’t believe a bank of this size works in this manner. It looks more and more like they process er em and bonuses manually. Only thing which can explain the many irregularities

What is your transfer rate now for the points earned via Reserve? Are you still holding the reserve?

For now, if we have M4B, all points from Reserve are also 5:4

How? I hold both but the points earned on Reserve are credited to ER bucket. So other than the so called glitch in Axis system whereby some points from ER bucket are moved to MB points bucket (nobody understands the logic of how it works), there is no direct way to transfer Reserve points at 5:4

once MB points transfer is exhausted, then we can transfer regular ER at 5:4 as well.
Don’t know if it really is a glitch or that is how they enabled those transfers.
