Infinia Reward points for BookNowPayLater MMT holiday package

Hi folks,

Infinia gives 5x reward points of booking MMT holiday package on Smartbuy. The package I'm interested in has BookNowPayLater option where it can be booked by paying just Rs1 now and paying the remaining amount later (1 week before the tour). If I choose the pay later option and confirm the booking by paying the due amount later using Infinia, does anyone know if that txn get 5x reward points or we only get 5x on paying full amount without pay later?

NOTE: This is not related to EMI or loan

Thanks in advance

But this book now pay later is just a gimmick to mask the fact that you will be paying high interest (upto 18% pa) on the money lent to you for this holiday.
It is a personal loan in disguise.
The holiday prices are inflated to include the interest cost payable to the lender, and make you think that there is no interest and no loan.

I don't recommend you taking loans for holidays.

It's the same price irrespective of paying full amount now or paying before 1 week of the stay (which is the deadline to confirm the booking). I don't see any "gimmick" here as it's neither EMI not loan.

Anyways, coming back to my question - paying full amount now will earn 5x rewards points, but would booking now and paying it right before the stay get 5x or normal 1x?

Not sure where the final payment option will be. If it will available on smartbuy, then it probably will earn 5x points
I think so. Otherwise there is no way merchant name is going to be correct - "<something> via smartbuy".

Another alternative could be to use mmt holidays voucher. You will save around 3k on 15k vouchers. Not sure if mmt has limit on number of vouchers. Or if these vouchers can be used for book now pay later. Better to send email to mmt and get them in writing.

Yes, you can apply only 3 vouchers max at a time, I bought a 3X1lakh denomination of voucher from grab deals earlier at a 12.6% discount plus card points, However, MMT says that vouchers are not applicable with discount coupons, so check with small denominations first.
