Reward Points for UPI on (SBI) Credit Card

Hi Forum,

Many people have many questions about rewards for UPI on RuPay credit card transactions. For nearly all card issuers their usual rewards structure does not apply for UPI transactions. They either do not give rewards or have a default flat rewards rate that is different from their regular rewards structure. Card issuers usually do not care to mention this in their T&Cs.

However, I've heard that SBI Cards is different from this and give accelerated rewards for UPI transactions made using RuPay credit card in the same way as POS transactions. For example, Simply Save RuPay would give 10X points on Groceries and Dining categories. Is this correct? Has anyone verified it?

And how is it possible to determine accelerated reward categories on UPI on CC? Do the merchant QR codes have to be registered using an MCC too?

I've icici coral rupay and I get same reward on UPI as on other credit card transactions, no difference.
