Reward Points on cancelled EMI

I made a purchase on Amazon yesterday for 15.3k yesterday on normal EMI using my Millennia credit card. I tried calling the customer care to cancel the EMI today as well as yesterday. But the customer care had no option to cancel the EMI and only option was to pre-close it.

They're charging me 4.5% additional charge on it for a single day and it wasn't even a no cost emi. If I leave that alone, Will they be crediting 5% cashback on the full transaction atleast? I read somewhere here that there's a precedent for a previous complaint on the same with RBI?

If there was no discount on Amazon then cancel order in Amazon itself. Or else foreclose loan in HDFC my cards.

There was an instant discount and I've received the product as well. Mycards foreclosure showed me the 4.5% charge. I thought I might get away with the cancellation fee if I do it earlier, but no. I'm now wondering if I might get 5% cashback since I'm cancelling the EMI

After EMI cancellation also we will receive 5% cash back. But in Millennia card, cash back calculation is based on calendar month. Your transaction month is November and you didn't get points as EMI transaction is excluded now. If you have cancelled EMI in previous month itself you would have got cash back but now I am not sure. Give a try.
