My friend wants to use my card to buy a phone costing ₹70000 as using the card gives an instant discount of ₹9000. I am curious about how the rewards will be managed. Will the points be credited first and then deducted later, or will I not receive any points for this transaction?

My card is the IRCTC RuPay Platinum, and at the end of each billing cycle, the reward points I've earned are transferred to my IRCTC wallet. So, If they decide to credit the points now and deduct it after few months, I'll have to pay them back. In this case, How much will i have to pay?

If you wish to get that rp.

Just cancel the card, as soon as the rp transferred to irctc wallet.

Does you got that r points?

Hope you have another cc, so if it's not shared limit while cancelling requests cc to transfer credit limit on other existing cc.

I don't care about the reward points. It goes to the IRCTC wallet and I don't travel by train. The only reason I'm keeping this card is because its LTF and for the occasional sales discount.

If you earn reward points in sbicard when there is instant discount offers on sbicard deduct reward points from account or deduct from credit limit
If there are reward points in your account, they will be deducted; if not, the deduction will be made from the credit limit, and you'll have to pay when the bill is generated. I had to pay ₹1 a few months ago.
