Sbi card vistara application scam.

So i was in mall and a person approached me for Sbi vistara card ,I wanted the Sbi card so he filled the from and i only put in my fingerprint and signed the blank form.Few days later i got a call from sbi that my application has approved and i had opted for 2500 rs per year insurance on my card which i didn't opt for.I got the card and speaking to customer care is in itself is a task so i don't wanna deal with them and risk paying these charges if i dont activate my card will i need to pay the 3000 rs fees?

I guess that's the CPP fees, which you will have to pay even if you don't activate the card
Check whether you have received any details in email / by mail or SMS about this, as it can be easily cancelled over call within 30 days, without any charges

You can cancel within 15 or 30 days. Act quick and call them.

I called them they told me that there are no charges yet and i can cancel if i am charged by calling them .

by default sbi always opts you in for listening into the CPP plan and then you can enroll. But if you dont want you can tell them that over the phone

I actually did but let's see if they charge me or not.Tbh have never faced with any other card from other banks.Let's hope for the best.

I tried for cashback card on 31 March & it got rejected instantly..Now I am unable to apply & error is "you already have ongoing application".

anywhere you see sbi executives you can ask them to apply for specific card 😀

I think you need to pay the charges irrespective of operating/cancelling the card. The amount has already been charged to your card account. You should be able to cancel the insurance within 30 days of card issuance and be eligible for a full refund.

No insurance was charged ,i got it canceled via phone.
