SBI Cashback card will not give add-on cards (except a few PIN codes)

This the reply I got in email from SBI card customer care!
I was unable to submit a request for add-on card for the 2 weeks. Escalated on twitter, called customer care, then sent email. Got above reply.

Are you guys aware of this?!
Is this shit true or is it just another Friday for SBI?

If not true, I need help to make a complaint to RBI Ombudsman for denial of service or changing terms and conditions without a 30day notice, or whatever reason you can think of.

It's new to me. But I don't think you can complain about it to RBI or anything about it Legally. But you can fake your address as a workaround 🤪

Yes , but my point is that we shouldn't have to do that.
Nowhere in the application or the website or the mitc doc is shown that Addons address issued only in 5 cities in the whole of India (and that too limited PIN codes). What kind of sane criteria used!

They had this limitation earlier too.
Later it was removed and they were giving addons left and right last year.
Seems they have achieved the target quota.

I have 2 cb card addons issued last year.

This is either false or outdated. I live in Hyderabad, I got my parents a SBI CB add-on card last week.

Actually got an error when submitting an online request for an add-on card. When I raised a complaint with grievance redressal, this is the same reply I got in Jan 2024 till April 2024. I gave up after that.

I recently applied for add-on for a tier 5 city. The process was buttery smooth. There is also an offer going on for ₹500 amazon voucher for each new add-on card till June 2024 end

Looks like SBI has an old grudge with me. I was NTB customer when I took their CC about 8 months ago.
