SBI cashback credit card - USD notes purchase via bookmyforex and online payment in USD on Agoda

Hi, is anyone aware if we get 5% cashback for purchasing USD currency notes from bookmyforex using SBI cashback credit card? Bookmyforex charges a small fee for allowing us to use credit card but I wanted to know if we get cashback in this case or will this count as ATM withdrawal leading to high interest rate penalty?

Second question is regarding hotel booking via Agoda, Booking.com in USD, will this count as online transaction and give 5% cashback? There would obviously be 3.5% Forex markup fee, but curious to know if we get 5% cashback for online hotel payments made in USD.

Any info or experience on this would help, thanks!

It gave 5% cashback on USD currency purchase on bookmyforex but they charged 2.5% convenience fee, hence effective cashback is 2.5%

What about Agoda, Booking.com bookings? Did it give you 5% cashback?

Yes, both of them gave 5% cashback, Agoda didn't even charge any forex markup fee, however booking.com charged the markup fee.
