SBI CC through Sprint or Netbanking ? - Query & Discussion

I know that applying for SBI CC can be done through Sprint website. But today I noticed while logged onto my SBI Netbanking that I can apply for SBI CC through netbanking. It takes me to JV Products Portal where I get options for Elite, Pulse, CB, Prime, SimplyClick and SimplySave. If I select a card for example CB, it asks me to select my bank account, then autofetches my personal information and asks for AutoSweep and AutoMandate permissions and then goes onto KYC which I didnt proceed further as I dont have any Credit history yet (Already got my Supermoney Supercard this month so will wait for Credit score generation). I did not want to risk a rejection, but does this method of applying through netbanking have a better chance of approval than going through Sprint?

The netbanking option to apply is there since a year now. Always use Sprint. You can find some discussions already happened on this topic.

Recently I applied SBI CB card from SBI Yono app for my spouse as there was SBI CB Card banner visible. It should provisionally approved with 3L limit, the next day got call from SBI CC team and they informed that application has to be submitted offline from branch or Sprint.

There was an unnecessary CIBIL hit. Approached branch and they are in Lunch breaks all the day. Not sure whether they can process the existing application.

Sprint

I recently opened a SBI savings account with the same thinking

Its useless to think like that

SBI and SBICARDS are different, Apply through sprint or if you want to get some more benefit then cashkaro.

My SBICB card got approved in 10minutes from sprint. Here are the timelines.
  • Application Date: 12-02
  • Approval Date: 12-02
  • Card Physical Receipt Date: 14-02
  • Statement Date: 20-02

If I had applied through Yono or NetBanking, Abhi bhi Lunch break chalra hota SBI ka.

Branch can't process CB card, only through Sprint

In case, If you have noticed, isn't it that yono eventually leads to sprint ....
