SBI Credit card application rejection

Hi all,

I have been trying to get a SBI card.
But the application was rejected saying internal policies and business decision.
To get the exact reason, i had to go up to customer service head team
Reason stated by them was
"we wish to inform you that application could not be processed as it’s overleveraged profile, due to excessive unsecured exposure."
They say that, i can apply again after 6 months (Subject to approval)
After 6 months also i am the overleveraged profile.
In that case, how to get a SBI card ?

Same thing happening with me from last 1 year I am over leverage.i have 6 cards with limit 15 L .There is no solution I am fed up trying

If you can't reduce your total limits on existing cards or close some existing cards or have a sizeable increase in Income and ITRs - forget aboit SBI CC.

Try other cards. No point in trying, getting CIBIL hard hits n rejections. Instead, try for other cards.

In 2023 my cards were 11 with limit 22.80 L to get SBI I have closed my some extra cards and reduced limit 22.80 L to 15 what should I do .I want sbi card in my cards collection

Nobody in this country with a credit exposure of more than around a couple of lakhs will be able to get SBI Cards anymore. Which basically means anyone with an already existing credit card or loan. Or, SBI will not provide cards to anyone who is actually creditworthy but will issue cards to delinquents and those with little to no income. Happens when the dumb policy makers heading the bank are misguided products of corruption/ reservation/ nepotism.

If you want an SBI Card, close ALL your cards and loans, wait for six months, and then apply, you will get one.

If you are so very desperate and can't live without it anymore, the best way is to take a secured card (against FD).

No need to wait 6 months after that,
No need to go below the poverty line,
No need to rant about that bank,
No need to have high BP,
No need to start abusing....

Just go to a nearby branch n place a FD and get a secured card. Simple.

i did not get any card with fd .i want this cad without fd I have saving account with bank and i went to home branch regarding this .There was an agent who told me that create fd of rs 50 k you would get a card after getting the card closed fd, card would not closed at all.But i dont think so i know that if i closed the fd card also would be closed
