When I had this card some year back, I opted for shopper stop vouchers which was suitable to my need. I don't think SBI give amazon vouchers for joining fees. At least not for elite and prime cards.

You will be charged maybe depending on the month. When I upgraded I got charged after the annual cycle of the previous card.
