I hold a SBI IRCTC (Platinum Visa) card account that is now 17 years old. Every year for the past five years or so my IRCTC loyalty account linked with the SBI card gets barred from accruing or redeeming reward points because apparently SBI Cards is not paying IRCTC the annual fees on my account.
This year's complaint:
I then call up SBI Cards CC every year and try to explain this but they are so absolutely, pathetically clueless about this entire thing. They stutter and stammer and put my call on hold only to say things like "Sir, your points are not coming from IRCTC please call them sir" or "the transaction does not have your account details that is why no points sir" and so on or to send an email to their customer care. Then finally I escalate to the PNO and things get resolved but not before several months have passed but only for the issue to resurface a couple of months later.
I am so fed up with this. Is there any resolution anyone from this friendly community can suggest? Why are Indian credit card companies so bloody inefficient?
