I applied for SBI Cashback CC about 3 weeks back and it's been a mess from the start (although it wasn't exactly SBI's fault at this point rather Delhivery's). Here's of what happened:
Attempt #1: The delivery boy calls me while I’m on a work-related call. I quickly disconnect my call and try calling him back within 10 seconds. Guess what? He doesn't pick up, and just leaves the delivery location.
Attempt #2: They rescheduled the delivery for the next day without even attempting the first time or calling me. I didn’t even know there was a supposed delivery attempt until I saw the reschedule notice. And guess what no delivery boy showed up :/ it was rescheduled for the next day again.
Attempt #3: They marked some random "code of unavailability" on the app, claiming my area is out of reach. This makes zero sense since they had tried delivering it before, so clearly, my location is within their delivery zone.
Attempt #4: This time the delivery boy calls while I’m not home, so I ask him to reschedule for the next day. He agrees, and I thought maybe this time it’ll work.
Attempt #5: Nope! Back to the same issue as attempt #3 with another mysterious "unavailability" code.
Finally, after all these failed attempts, they just returned the card. There is no option to pick it up from them, no courtesy call, nothing.
I’ve asked SBI to track the card and re-attempt delivery a week back, which they agreed to. I’ve specifically asked them to avoid using Delhivery again and use Blue Dart, which has always been reliable.
Now I haven't heard from them since last week. No way to call them. No response on mails. Looks like a dead to me. Waiting for a miracle.
