SBI Rewardz: Accelerated Points Upto 5X*/10X* RP under Monthly Campaigns.

1)Reward points are linked with your CIF number. If both of your accounts are linked with same CIF, then you will get the points in same rewards account.
What if we close the only debit card linked to cif?
What if we hotlist the physical dc and VDC remain active?
Reward Points will remain in both cases? or the point earned will disappear?
Should we need to redeem points before card closure?
Customer care once informed that points will disappear if we close the DC. Do u have any experience?

No, it's wrong. Points will remain as long as you have the relationship with SBI.

1. No problem. You can easily generate a new debit card through YONO, SBI NetBanking, or by visiting your nearest branch.

2. If you need to hotlist your physical debit card, don't worry-your virtual debit card will remain active and unaffected.

3. Your reward points will stay active. Even after closing all your cards, you can still redeem the points without any issues.

4. There is no time limit for redeeming your reward points after closing a card. You can redeem them anytime within 2 years.

5. While I cannot confirm whatcustomer care told you , based on personal experience, reward points typically remain available after card closure. Additionally, if you close your card while there are pending reward points to be credited, those points will still be credited to your account.

6. For your peace of mind, here's a suggestion: if you have 100 reward points, redeem 90 points and leave 10 points. Then, proceed with the card closure request. After the closure, you can verify whether the remaining points are still available.

I hope this clears up your concerns. Have a great night!

@2025 I was with the bank for ~6 years. I can confirm points will remain, no need to try these things.

A doubt that I have recently activated virtual card so if I make payment of cc then can activation bonus and sbi winter carnival can be clubbed right?

Eg if I do first txn of 2000
then 50 activation + (20 + 20 vdc points) + 4x points (80 + 80) should be credited right?

And can I split payment of 6400 like 2k + 2k + 2.4k is there any problem in that?

Yes, no problem with that. In total, you will have 928 points.

You will receive 20 + 20 points in a couple of days, 80 + 80 points after the deadline, and the activation points will come in 2-3 months. I don't remember exactly how long they take, could be wrong on 2-3 months duration.

Activation Bonus points on usage of card 3 times within two month of card issuance with minimum transaction of Rs 2,000/-

1st Use - 50

Simple method to calculate maximum transaction you have to do during campaigns. New
SBI Rewardz has updated website interface. Hope they didn't fixed the loophole of 4X accelerated on VDC bonus pts.We will know it by Feb first week.

Also, I have derived simple method to calculate maximum transaction you have to do during campaigns.

Just Multiply the Max. Pts given for a campaign by 12.5 and you will get max. txn amount you have to do within a campaign.

For future campaigns, just look the maximum accelerated rewards and calcualte maximum txn amount with factor in table below.

Campaign TypeMultiplier with VDC (Virtual Debit Card)Multiplier with Physical Debit Card
5X Campaign12.5 X (Max. Accelerated Points.)25 X (Max. Accelerated Points.)
4X Campaign25 X (Max. Accelerated Points)50 X (Max. Accelerated Points.)
3X Campaign37.5 X (Max. Accelerated Points)75 X (Max. Accelerated Points.)
2X Campaign50 X (Max. Accelerated Points)100 X (Max. Accelerated Points.)

Ex: 1. Winter Campaign of 5X has 500 Max. Points.

So Max. Amt = 12.5x500= Rs.6250. As SBI has rewards in Rs.200 multiple only then txn amount should be Rs.6200 or Rs.6400.

2. Similarlly Bachat Boss Offer has 5X pts but has 300 max. accelerated pts.

So 12.5X300= Rs.3750 which means Rs.3600 or Rs. 3800 txn max.

Keep in mind the 200 multiple factor in amount.

For 2X campaigns multiple factor will be 50 Multiply (Max. Accelerated Pts.). Suppose max. rewards are 500 pts under 2X campaign then txn amt will be 50 x 500= Rs.25000.

Simply, More the rewards multiple factor, lesser will be the transaction amount to reach it. So 5X Accelerated offers or 10X will always have lowest txn amounts as compared with 2X.
