SBI SimplySave EMI options on Amazon

Whenever I am trying to avail EMI on Amazon through my SBI SimplySave RuPay Credit Card, it doesn't simply give me an option to do so, for this specific product there's discount on full as well as EMI transaction but not seeing any EMI option.

So, is it a thing for SBI SimplySave RuPay Credit Cards on Amazon to not support EMI transactions, or all RuPay Cards in general?

Regards.

AFAIK, Rupay cards doesn't support merchant EMI.

@Abhishek012 will tell you the reason.

I believe, in most of the cases, one can convert a purchase to EMI only after paying in full for the purchase initially, and when the transaction shows up on the credit account portal, convert it to EMI from options.

But you will be charged processing fee and high interest for converting transactions into emi by yourself. So, Always prefer merchant emi.

Yup, only ICICI RuPay CC and Kotak bank RuPay CC enabled EMI transaction on Amazon.

RuPay card EMI transaction is still beta phase. It will take few years.

Sorry irrelevant to your post but curious how did you manage to get simplysave on RUPAY. I have chased them for a month to convert my existing visa card to simplysave rupay variant but had no luck, the reason were utterly bullshit & in the end I gave up the idea
I had basically applied for SBI Credit Card when I visited my home branch through SBI Card agent. When I got to know the card is generated, I downloaded SBI Card app and saw the RuPay card only thinking it's temporary and I would get the typical VISA card. But physical card was RuPay only, silly me ;p
So yeah I got the RuPay Card without doing anything at my end, the card is almost 2 months old now. Got a whooping 56k limit, which got me chuckling when I first got to know the limit. The limit is very good especially considering the fact that it's my very first unsecured card, and having not high income (yet). I have OneCard Lite (21.5k) & Kotak DreamDifferent (15k), both FD based, there are LazyPay (20k) & Slice (36k) too.

Also, could I ask what's the benefit of RuPay card over VISA? Because it's my very first RuPay card, all my Debit Cards are VISA only, had applied for VISA only, so I want to know if I'm missing out on something.

Yeah I had also requested them to change variant to Rupay, but they declined. Maybe @crazyuploader got the rupay variant itself in the first place ?
Yes, I indeed got the RuPay variant in the first place

Yeah that option is there, but it's not as convenient as choosing EMI options at the merchant itself— for seamless experience that is.

Oh I see, thanks for the info. Just a side note though, I was easily able to get EMI through Flipkart and it worked flawlessly.

Yup, that's why i told you. Amazon support very few RuPay credit cards for EMI transaction.

If you saw my RuPay BEPG features screenshot image then you will see only merchant acquirer banks need to enabled EMI transaction for RuPay credit cards.

It means RuPay credit card issuer bank dnt need to do anything. RuPay credit cards are already supported EMI transaction.

Fault is from merchant acquirer bank side.
