SBI never offer LTF. There are many third party agent through which they source cards. Do not trust them.
When I applied for SBI SimplyClick before my KYC one person called me and said your card is confirmed with 3.33 Lakhs limit with FYF and we want to confirm with you before you proceed. I confirmed on call and next moment I received sms for SBI BPCL Platinum with Joining Fees of Rs 499+ GST.
I immediately called back that person, charged on him regarding the same and said I am not going to proceed for KYC, he was trying to scare me that CIBIL hit is done if you don't proceed it will be negative, I told him let it be, I'll handle that.
Then he cut the call, the Area Sales Manager then called me, and asked to proceed with the application and that he will ensure it is SBI SimplyClick that will be sent to me. I did not believe him because of the experience with the Sales person, but the manager was very polite and even said, I'm not frauding you, you can check my profile on LinkedIn and if you want you can record this call, I will also send you a copy of the application immediately which will mention your card name.
I was dodging the person and he asked to let him know why I am not proceeding with the KYC. I explained the whole experience, he immediately charged on the sales person while on call and apologised on his behalf and assured me of approving SimplyClick without any hassle. He also told the agent is lying, I apologise on his behalf, it will be a paid card, and no limit is ever shared before KYC. It will not happen again.
I trusted him and then proceeded with the application. It was smooth, and my card was delivered after 5 days.
Don't trust a person selling SBI Credit Card as LTF from beginning unless you receive any pre-approved offer from any official SBI channel. Don't even trust branch people. If they insist, take it on writing on an email and then proceed.
