Does anyone know if YONO SBI works for NRI customers? I have an NRI account with SBI and it was working fine until a few months ago. I was told that the app would be updated to handle NRI accounts but no information since then.
There is still no solution. My overseas number is linked to the SBI account and when I try to register, it does send the verification sms to their number but nothing happens after that. I have wasted several paid sms like that.
YONO SBI doesn't work for NRI with international number. Instead SBI YONO lite works for NRI with international number instead. I'm not sure if NRI account with Indian number.
It's crazy that they ask to send SMS from International mobile numbers to an Indian number for verification. I wish they send an OTP to the registered international number to verify the number.
