Axis Atlas Seeking clarification on EDGE Miles for Transactions

Hello Everyone

I need some clarity regarding the EDGE Miles for my Axis Atlas Credit Card. I recently made three transactions:
  1. (1552GBP) ~ ₹1.73 Lacs (UK STUDENT VISA FEE)
  2. ₹54.7K
  3. (422GBP) ~ ₹45.2K
While I received EDGE Miles for the ₹45.2K transaction, no miles were credited for the other two payments. Upon contacting customer care, I was initially informed that none of these transactions would earn EDGE Miles because they were international. However, when I mentioned receiving EDGE Miles for one of the transactions(45.2K), the reasoning changed, stating that the other payments were government transactions.

When I asked for the MCC code to verify this, the customer care representative refused to share it. This inconsistency has left me unsure about the eligibility criteria and incompetent SOPs of Axis Bank

Could someone help me with the following query:
  1. Why weren’t EDGE Miles credited for the ₹1.73 Lacs and ₹54.7K payments?
  2. Are these transactions excluded from earning EDGE Miles, and does this come under government payment as I was charged 3.5% Forex Charges +18%GST?
I appreciate any guidance or official response to this matter.

Thanks

Depends on MCC (its same whether you're in India or abroad), check with other agent and find MCCs of those transactions. Then we can deal whether we're eligible edge miles or not.

So, dial again and find out thoese mccs.

Please give details of these 3 transactions !

First transaction - UK visa fee is not eligible for Edge miles. It is categorized under Government transaction (which do not earn edge miles). Recently, I had made payment for my Australia visa and was not rewarded any points. Once the bill is generated, you will be able to see "Govt Transaction" under transaction type on the face of the statement.

For 54,7k transaction - what type of transaction is it?
