You can change to visa but not rupay.
Why? Bcs infinia isn't available yet in Rupay version.
RBi guidelines states that you can switch card network only if that specific card is available on other platforms also.

Emai hdfc and they will process ur request in a week.
Only benefit I am aware of Master over Visa is generally lower forex exchange rate gets applied compared to Visa.
