Offer Fulfilled! Shell fuel voucher redemption via ishop

The offer has been fulfilled by the bank/company.
People were talking about shell fuel voucher via ishop. Since there was not much clarity , I decided to personally try it. Here is a detailed post on how to use the said voucher for 12-18% valueback based on whether you have times black or EPM .

Navigate to iShop > vouchers > shell > purchase either 500 or 1000 voucher.

The GV will just have a voucher code .

Download Shell Asia app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shell.sitibv.shellgoplusindia

Login with your details > at the bottom right click on "Account " > Redeem voucher > add the GV code here .

Pro tip : add voucher 24hrs earlier for smooth transaction. I added 15 mins prior and it got activated.

Note :
  • you can redeem only one gv per transaction
  • you can redeem upto 3 GV a day at shell station.
  • Each GV is one time use
  • You use GV after putting in fuel

How to use :

Go to your nearby shell fuel station > specify amount of fuel like 1000 or 2000 or whatever > get it filled > walk into the shell store > go to the cashier > open your shell app > click on " My Card " > "Show QR" .

If the GV is activated, they will scan it and deduct the amount.

That's it. It was pretty smooth.

Here is my transaction:

Btw this is the GV offer if you wanna see in the app > Rewards > Offers >
1000087590.webp 1000087591.webp

Calculation : this is based on having times black
  • For every 1000 GV you purchase
    • 12% valueback as ishop points
    • Shell app gives you 40 shell points which convert to 2 rs
      • 8000 shell points can be redeemed for a 400 rs fuel voucher.
  • You now don't need a dedicated fuel card

shell petrol is costly + 14% ethenol blend = same price you can go for xp 95
I don't know what you are even trying to suggest here.

Xp95 is 20% ethanol based on testing done and all the recent uproar. I'm not going to IOCL unless I find some new offer that makes the pain worth it. They are crap.

Yes shell is costly but they have standards which means less adulteration and better storage. Plus it's 12% valueback so I'll happily do this.

So this will kill all fuel credit cards and make them obsolete?
Most of them charge you real money as joining fee and renewal fee and give only upto 6.25 + 1% benefit

Honestly speaking, no bro.

Most people stay away from shell cause it charges a premium on top of the usual price. Plus this makes sense only if you have times black / EPM and you are fine with doing 1k fuel top ups every time.

If HPPay had a similar process instead of the fastag route I'm 100% sure that would kill fuel cards atleast for those with the above two cards.

This post is just to show the process.

Don't have any shell pumps in Mumbai city centre

Only issue with ICICI RP's is that at the time of redemption they allow only max 50% redemption of RP's and also charge redemption fees every time...Balance 50% we have to pay.

ishop Shell voucher is beneficial only for super premium cards but not for sapphire and other variants where reward rate is just 3%

I prefer to buy shell voucher from uni gold store where there is flat 1% cashback so no headache of reward point redemption

The very first para of the post clearly mentions about valueback for Times black or EPM holders. The whole concept is how to get 12 to 18% valueback on shell which is only possible via TB of EPM.

What is even the logic behind unnecessarily talking about other cards just to shamelessly plug in a piece of crap like the uni gold ?

Seems ur english is very poor...I mentioned in my post that it is beneficial for supe premium cards

Arrogance is visible in ur post ..however, arrogance is not permanent and it is shattered at some point

Also it is utter foolish and idiotic idea to collect RP's of a card wherein u are only allowed to redeem max 50% points and balance u have to pay yourself....You have spend 10000 more to redeem points worth 10000 Rs

Maybe research before you talk nonsense ? Like seriously, you are TF Legend, have some basic common sense when you put comments online.

Times Black and EPM have 95% and 90% points redemption for flight and hotel bookings respectively. Same for tanisq voucher and apple products. Each RP is worth 1rs and i have comfortably redeemed all my points for flights by only paying 5% of the cost . I've literally paid 500 to 700 for a flight ticket that costed me like 9000.

Seriously, if you don't know something, just don't talk about it.

Here you go . Screenshot proof. 1000092691.webp

So if I put fuel for like 50k in total for a year as 4k a month, I'll get 6k RP which is basically gonna cover a flight that costs 6500 with an out of pocket spend of barely 500 for the flight ticket. A flat 6k value for 50k spends on fuel .

The post is already about super premium cards , you unnecessarily commented by bringing in unrelevant info about lower tier cards to talk about a useless piece of crap that is uni gold. Stop simping for crap cards.

Shell is costly but in the long run, it is definitely worth it. My brother fills his car with only Shell Petrol and swears by it.
Same bro. Same. I whole heartedly agree. Also , since it's costly there is never a rush. So peaceful to put fuel and maybe even grab a drink or some snacks.
