Should I close my AU LIT CC and get an ixigo AU CC

Basically I have 2 approaches either close AU LIT and try to get IXIGO AU CC if possible.
Else will upgrade my LIT CC to Zenith+ CC. Since I will be getting renewal fees in AU Reward Points, I can book flight with it and basically net I will pay 900 Rs GST only.

Has anyone recently applied for au credit card?
Is it true that they reject the application if one has more than 7 active credit cards?

i was given the same reply more than 6 months back when i mailed them after rejection. What i did was few days ago, I applied for ixigo again and left the application halfway hoping to get a call from the bank. I got a call from AU bank executive today asking to complete application and then i mentioned that i was already rejected for having 12 cards so no point applying again. He said no such criteria exists which i did not believe but still applied hoping he can bypass that from the backend. And guess what! My application got approved within 5 hours and card will be dispatched in next few days. funny thing is i reside in unserviceable pincode and gave my cousins address in Mumbai and a fake address of my company since it does not have a branch in mumbai and it still got approved but main thing to note is that I already have a Royale savings account with them due to which they possibly did not verify any of those details.

I think SB acc only helped to evade physical verification, since I was rejected earlier even tho I had the account at the time of application.
