Should I Close Tata Neu Plus (Paid)?

Recently got Tata Neu Plus because wanted one HDFC bank card. But haven't used it yet and don't know where to use it. Thinking of closing it.

Reward rate is very low and reward points are in the form of coins so again we have to use their app to redeem it.

When we shop in Big basket through Tata Neu app, we get 7% cashback, but if we buy bigbasket voucher, it is available for 4.5% instant discount and when we shop through Tata Neu app, 5% cashback in the form of coins. So total benefit is 9.5%


So, Tata neu customer can take the benefit of 7% and other customer can take the benefit of 9.5%. According to my opinion, this card is not value for shopping on tata websites. I closed this card after one time use 😉

try asking them to make it LTF as it has low reward rate there is no incentive to use it or else close tell them like this

Mailed them twice. They are rejecting every request. Even for FYF they are not agreeing.

First year they should give you 1499 neu coins and so it becomes FYF (except gst you ended up paying)

Tried using Neu Coins on big basket but payment failed and order got placed. Had to cancel the order.

Hope you went to Bigbasket from Tataneu app.

If so at the time of payment, select tata pay and it will give an option to select neucoins in the top and then it will calculate the remaining to be paid through tatapay gateway CC option.

I just placed an order redeeming earlier earned coins + remaining in CCARD, no issue

Nothing to worry if payment is failed, go to orders in Grocery from Neu app and make payment again using Neu coins

Also groceries from Big basket are bit pricy. My mom asked me to buy tide detergent. On big basket it is selling for around 580 and on Flipkart groceries same pack is for 517 only.

Load it separately on the website (or) standalone app. Continue the order via Tata Neu and it will auto-deduct the amount (just make sure the wallet is selected) before proceeding to pay.

First download Bigbasket app and login. You will find the option to add gift card in wallet. You can add some items into your cart. Now go to Tat Neu app and click groceries. You can find all added items in your cart in Tata Neu app. If you want to add more products, you can add and make payment. Amount available in BB wallet will be auto applied here.
