Should I hit the last milestone on Atlas or get a new card to do spend on?

I got the Axis Atlas credit card last month and spent close to 7L on it, so very close to hitting the 2nd milestone. It has milestone benefits:
2500 miles on 3.5L
5000 miles on 7.5L + (upgrade to gold tier so next year I will stay in gold and 5000 miles on renewal)
10000 miles on 15L + (upgrade to platinum so next year I will stay in platinum and 10000 miles on renewal).

I have reached the 2nd tier which is gold. I can also do the third milestone of 15L. But I am thinking, should I get another credit card to do the rest of my spending or complete the third milestone on Atlas itself?

If you suggest I should get another card, then which one?

What's the card limit that you have? Are you immediately prepaying the outstanding?

Do you know that >=10L outstanding bill payments in a year on any bank's CC will be reported in AIS and may trigger notice by ITD if ITR doesn't match the bill payments?
If the answer is that ITR may not match, then better would be to use any other card.

All depends on which cards you have and what are you going to do with reward points. If you are really using it for travel, then no harm in completing the milestone. If your usage category is different, better to look for some other rewarding cards.

The limit was 4.8L actually because I hardly used the previous Neo card. I had to advance prepay the amount to make the required payments.
ITR should not be an issue because I do pay proper taxes.
But thank you for the heads up, did not know that >10L has this implication.

For hotels and flights, I think Atlas is a good choice. I am also looking for redemption towards shopping vouchers and all.
One issue with Atlas is that it does not have accelerated points on gyftr.

Hey, I would suggest completing 15L as you would get 10k miles of milestone and 10k on renewal which could be easily worth 40k INR
Also, you get 2 luxury airport pickups/drops which as of now only reserve has.

What are you spending the money on? If it's business expenses and banks get to know about it, they might cancel your card and even debarr you from availing a card in the future.

Not exactly about ITR but coming under the eye of ITD is the possibility here though if you have good enough earnings, the justification can be easily given.

Also, why Atlas and not Magnus? Looking at your spends, wouldn't it suit you better? Or cards like AMEX Trifecta ( Platinum Travel, Gold Charge, MRCC)?

Spent some of it on advance tax payments then some on personal shopping and rent payments.
I do not have a burgundy account with Axis, so Magnus did not make sense for me. I am thinking of Amex Plat travel to accompany this card.
The reason I got this card was to get free flights and hotels. I travel 2-3 times domestically and 1-2 internationally per year with a companion.
Did not think that I would hit the milestone this early but it happened so now thinking should I go for the last milestone or get an Amex plat travel or some other card to accompany this?

Since the usage is high, AMEX Platinum Travel makes sense as you will be easily able to hit the 4L milestone there and get the Taj vouchers.
Maybe you can even get the Trifecta as after 4L spends, Platinum Travel gives no more benefits and a Gold Charge or MRCC can increase the reward rate.

You can use my referral AMEX Referral to get FYF on both MRCC and Platinum Travel and see from there if it suits you.

This also spreads your usage across other banks and saves you from the AIS situation.

I am not able to find the thread but there was one here in TF itself where one guy was served a notice for spending the amount on a single card
If the ITR is good and you get a competent CA, then it should not be a problem responding back

Once we reach platinum tier, I see we get 2x normal miles for forex transactions so that'll be 4 EM per 100. But what about hotel / airline spends done internationally, will we still get 5x per 100 or 10 EM per 100?
