When you're issued a replacement card, the old card number should stops working, right?
Apparently, it is not the case with Axis Bank.
Axis issued a replacement card, 2 mth ago, for my Magnus (some issue with the old card). On the app also, I just see details of the new replacement card.
However, today I tried to use the old card with old card no. CVV and expiry online and it went through!
Got the OTP msg, although the sms was showing the last 4 digit of new card. But the transaction went through after I input OTP.
This doesn't feel like robust systems with Axis. Anywho, I'll try the old card as POS as well, and if it works, thinking of keeping it as a "Add-On" card (as they don't give Add-On easily) 🙂
